Gary Welch

Chief Executive Officer

Gary Welch is the Chief Executive Officer of HealthTrust Europe. He is responsible for the overall business strategy, direction and performance across the company to achieve success. Gary joined HealthTrust Europe in February 2024. He previously served as Procurement and Supply Chain Director for Oxford University NHS Foundation Trust.

Gary has nearly 20 years of experience in health and social care. His previous experience includes working for the NHS as part of the Supply Chain Excellence Programme. From 2005, he worked closely on one of the first collaborative procurement hubs in the NHS before holding several senior procurement roles across the health service. Gary also led the procurement programme at The Shelford Group, a collaboration between ten of England’s largest teaching and research NHS hospital Trusts.

Vivek Jain

Chief Financial Officer

Vivek Jain is the Chief Financial Officer at HealthTrust Europe, responsible for finance, revenue recovery, IT and Project Management. He oversees the organisation’s financial strategy and operations, ensuring financial sustainability, compliance, and accountability. Vivek joined HealthTrust Europe in 2014 and has progressed through various leadership positions, including Vice President for Finance, Sales, and Marketing.

Vivek holds a BA (Hons) degree in Accounting and Finance and is a recognised member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He started his career as an Assistant Financial Accountant at Birmingham East and North Primary Care Trust and later worked as a Financial Systems Consultant at Civica. Vivek is passionate about delivering value to HealthTrust Europe’s members, suppliers, and stakeholders and is committed to fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration across the organisation.

Emma James

Chief Commercial Officer

Emma James is the Chief Commecial Officer for HealthTrust Europe. Emma is a dynamic forward-thinking leader who continually strives to improve and deliver procurement and supply chain professionalism within the NHS. She has over 15 years’ experience in procurement and supply chain within the public sector. She has experience of working in purchasing consortia’s in education and local government before joining the NHS.

Emma is an ambassador of the procurement and supply profession and received the honour of becoming a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply. This was in recognition of her dedication and contribution in supporting the profession. Emma has undertaken CIPS degree qualifications and a Master’s in Public Procurement Law & Policy whilst building the foundations to her career. She continues her personal and professional development and is currently studying towards an Executive MBA in Leadership & Management at Hult Ashridge Business School.

Scottie Lambright

Chief Executive Officer of Supply Chain Operations

Scottie is the Chief Executive Officer of Supply Chain at HealthTrust Europe. He is responsible for regional administration and oversight of numerous Supply Chain systems in HCA’s international division. He is also accountable for budgetary controls and productivity targets across supply chain operations. Scottie led the Supply Chain team through the challenges of Brexit and the Covid 19 pandemic and recently has overseen the launch of a new warehouse site for HCA Healthcare UK. International Division, HCA Healthcare UK.

Scottie is an experienced healthcare professional with 28 years of experience in supply chain solutions, financial analytics, contract negotiation, risk management, and plant operations. Scottie spent 19 years serving in various roles in HCA’s Delta and Mid-America divisions and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance gained from Louisiana State University.

Dagmar Kibble

Head of Legal

Dagmar Kibble is the Head of Legal for HealthTrust Europe. She holds an LLB (Hons) degree in Law and is a qualified solicitor in England. Dagmar is passionate about ethics and ensuring we work appropriately with the public sector. She is also keen to ensure the team delivers legal services in the most collaborative way as a true partner to the business.

Dagmar has extensive experience of acting for suppliers to the NHS and providing a different perspective on tendering. She has also worked for other global organisations dealing with logistics and manufacturing. She began her career as an in-house trainee with the Halifax Bank and then went into the medical sector as an in-house lawyer relatively early in her career. She has worked for DePuy, a Johnson & Johnson company, as Head of Legal for the UK and Ireland, as well as other medical companies over the years, including Becton Dickinson, Allied Healthcare, and Victrex. Most recently, Dagmar was Head of Legal UK and Ireland for Fresenius, one of the leading dialysis companies globally.

Jacqui Okundaye

Interim Director of HR

Jacqui is an experienced strategic HR professional who joined HealthTrust Europe in February 2024 as an interim HR Director. Jacqui has a passion for change management, early career development and advocating for equitable ways of working.

Before joining HealthTrust Europe, Jacqui worked in a variety of industries, from construction, technology, retail and electronics, working with executive leadership teams across all areas of the HR remit.

Hannah Barton

Director of HR

Hannah is the Director of HR for HealthTrust Europe and is responsible for the people recruitment and talent management strategy. Hannah joined HealthTrust Europe in 2022 and is experienced in implementing new HR systems and operations with highly developed analytical skills used to investigate, design and implement HR solutions.

Hannah is an MCIPD-qualified HR professional, ACAS-qualified workplace mediator, Mental Health First Aider, and MBTI Practitioner. She previously worked across various sectors, gaining extensive experience in strategic HR planning, business transformation, and employee engagement in the UK, EMEA, and the Americas.

Chris Hope

Head of Data and Insights

Chris Hope is the Head of Data and Insights at HealthTrust Europe, responsible for directing our use of data and systems across the business to drive benefits for clients and partners.  Chris joined HealthTrust Europe in December 2022, having previously served with NHS Shared Business Service, a partnership between Sopra Steria and the Department of Health.

Chris has worked with a broad array of partners in the health sector over a 25-year period, predominantly focussed on realising optimum value within procurement environments.  Chris worked with the Purchasing and Supplies Agency to develop the NHS energy procurement model before assisting the Department of Health establish the National Program for eProcurement in which he held a leading role.  During this time Chris contributed toward developing a number of the procurement hubs that remain a key part of the health sector landscape.
